Built to operate for eight years without significant maintenance, the eVinci is easily transported in containers, allowing it to be installed in industrial areas, remote communities or mining sites. Thanks to its heat pipe technology, the eVinci eliminates the risks associated with traditional cooling systems, offering a clean energy option with no emissions and no use of cooling water. In addition, its compact, aboveground design requires less than two acres for installation, minimizing the environmental impact.
The recent success of Westinghouse in the manufacture of 12-foot heat pipes also ensures the system’s reliability and efficiency, highlighting its ability to provide process heat for industrial or district heating. With an eye on the future, Westinghouse is looking to deploy these reactors globally by 2030.
