BlueNord is pleased to announce the commencement of drilling operations on the Harald East Middle Jurassic (“HEMJ”) well, successfully executed by the self-elevating Shelf Drilling Winner rig.
Drilling operations potential
First, it is important to note that the HEMJ well is being drilled in the Harald East region, located near the Norwegian border. The extracted gas will be transported through the Tyra East facility.
If drilling is successful, production is expected to commence later this year. Estimates indicate that the well could generate up to 8 million barrels of oil equivalent (mmboe) net to BlueNord, with 80% of this volume consisting of gas. net to BlueNord, with 80% of this volume comprised of gas.
In addition, the company’s chief operating officer, Miriam Lykke, commented on the project’s progress: “We are very pleased to announce that the self-elevating Shelf Drilling rig has successfully completed drilling the HEMJ well. If successful, the expected performance of HEMJ could have a significant impact on BlueNord, and we expect to see concrete results by the end of this year.“.
