Meanwhile, Expo Mexico Minero Durango 2022 will be open to the public free of charge from Thursday, August 25 to Sunday, August 28, at Plaza IV Centenario, located on 5 de febrero street between Zaragoza and Bruno Martínez, in the downtown area of the city of Durango.

Aguilar indicated that the mining sector in Durango is a national reference due to the mechanization and automation of the mines operating in the state; the mining sector complies with national and international environmental laws, norms and regulations, which allow it to be a sustainable and environmentally friendly industry.

He highlighted that in Durango’s 17 mining municipalities, all mining companies bring benefits to the inhabitants of the communities where they operate, providing improvements in drinking water, electricity and medical services, among others, which shows that “mining transforms the communities where it carries out its activities”.
