Electric Sheep, a leader in innovation in the outdoor maintenance sector, announced the launch of Verdie, its new AI maintenance robot equipped with patented software. Following in the footsteps of the company’s other robots, this one is powered by Electric Sheep’s ES1 artificial intelligence agent. This technology enables the autonomous system to operate in any outdoor environment without the need for prior intervention or training.
An “out-of-the-box” AI maintenance robot
Thanks to recent advances in GenAI, ES1 is a learned world model that enables reasoning and planning in the tasks of its RAM robots, dedicated to mowing grass and now Verdie, for profiling and trimming lawns and shrubs, as well as blowing leaves.
ES1 manages to understand the semantics of the world, create a map for coverage planning and highlight the edges of the work area. It achieves this through dense prediction of a state of the world with a single model, comparable to the system’s ChatGPT system in language, but applied to spatial AI.
The result is a product experience with two “ready to use” gardening robots. The agents are designed to be placed on the property and activated. Only with AI, they can understand the grass around them and take care of it efficiently.
It is important to mention that none of these robots require an engineer on site, as they can be sent directly to the area and start working alongside the equipment. This is made possible by Electric Sheep’s comprehensive data pipeline and the large volume of data on which the robots are continuously trained.

Currently,
Electric Sheep
operates a fleet of 40 RAM robots in hundreds of gardens across the United States and plans to deploy the new robot with customers in the second quarter of this year. Nag Murty, CEO and Co-Founder of the company, highlights the importance of the launching of Verdie as the first AI robot for tasks such as trimming and profiling in the world of landscaping and the ability of its ES1 technology to power multiple robots working alongside a team without the need for an on-site engineer.
The company has also acquired traditional third-party service providers and has progressively transformed operations by implementing its proprietary AI software and robots. It has also increased its revenues by 8 times since the implementation of this model and has a growing interest from businesses that could enable it to increase its growth by 10 times during 2024.
