Tugdock receives prestigious DNV ‘ Statement of Feasibility ’, endorsing and validating TSP ( Tugdock Submersible Platform ) technology for potential applications across a range of sectors including floating offshore wind, ship decommissioning and dry dock projects.

How does TSP technology work?

The TSP platform is an open steel frame that uses Tugdock’s patented vertical buoyancy cylinders. This modular technology is transportable by road and, once assembled on site, can be configured as a dry dock of different dimensions ( up to 120 metres by 120 metres) to lift and launch heavy structures and marine vessels. In addition, it can function as a modular workstation in various industrial environments.

According to Aseem Dhingra, DNV’s floating structures services manager, the thorough assessment of the TSP has identified its innovations and challenges, confirming its viability for future deployment. ” This comprehensive assessment process not only confirms the viability of the technology, but also provides confidence to stakeholders about its ability to meet expected operational and deployment standards ,” Dhingra commented.

Matt Ingram, Tugdock’s chief technology officer, said the TSP’s flexibility and modularity open up new possibilities for applications in offshore wind , oil rig decommissioning and aerospace operations. ” This approval is a testament to the rigorous engineering behind the TSP, and we’re excited to move forward to the next stage of its development ,” Ingram said.

The company is actively working with global clients and preparing for TSP implementation in 2025. In addition, it is evaluating new expansion opportunities in the United States, Wales and Scotland, in addition to its headquarters in England, to strengthen its international presence and offer better support to its clients.
