Tosyalı Holding has announced the launch of a solar self-consumption project in Turkey. In collaboration with GE Vernova and Inogen , the company has signed agreements to develop a solar photovoltaic plant with a total capacity of 1.2 GW, consolidating its position as one of the largest projects worldwide.

Tosyalı Holding’s commitment to renewable energy

The first phase of the project will begin operations in 2025, and involves the installation of 120 MWp of Topcon N-type solar panels, produced under the Tosyalı V-Solar brand. By 2027, the entire 1.2 GW capacity is expected to be operational.

The solar panels used in this project incorporate cutting-edge technology that maximizes efficiency and minimizes environmental impact. In addition, Tosyalı has integrated artificial intelligence and eco-efficiency principles into its production processes, reaffirming its commitment to green steel production.

Tosyalı Holding Chairman Fuat Tosyalı said at the World Economic Forum in Davos that this project strengthens the company’s energy independence and contributes to its leadership in the green steel sector. In addition, the collaboration with GE Vernova and Inogen ensures the use of advanced technological solutions and compliance with high quality standards.

The company had already achieved a milestone by establishing the world’s largest rooftop solar power facility , with an installed capacity of 235 MW. This new project further raises the bar for sustainability and energy efficiency, proving that it is possible to integrate industrial growth with environmental responsibility.
