Since 2019, International Education Day is celebrated every January 24, a date proclaimed by the United Nations (UN) with the aim of raising awareness among the world population about the importance of education to achieve the objectives contemplated in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
This year, under the slogan ‘Invest in people, prioritize education’, equal access to professional training, the elimination of gender and wealth inequalities, achieving universal access to quality higher education are encouraged.
Education is of great importance because it is the basis for a just, egalitarian, self-sufficient society, valuable for the social development of countries. Education allows training future generations.
