This Wednesday, August 24 at 18:00 hours Colombia, in the Tech Talking program, Eng. Elisaúl Materán and Eng. Francesco Solari, will be discussing corrosion and inspection criteria from asset design.

Materán is a materials engineer with master’s degrees in Industrial Project Management and Industrial Systems Reliability. He holds a CMRP (Certified Maintainance & Reliability Professional) certification and has a track record of almost three decades in oil industries such as PEMEX, PDVSA, BG, Saudi-Aramco, Ecopetrol, Chevron, Exxon-Mobil, Shell, Repsol.

In addition, he has extensive experience in the development of projects oriented to the generation, execution and evaluation of strategies and plans for exploitation, operation, inspection and maintenance based on the application of Reliability Engineering and Probabilistic Risk Analysis tools. Currently, he is the CEO and Managing Director of the renowned company R2M International.

During the program, Materan will explain how to apply IBR Technology for the generation of optimal inspection plans for equipment in the oil industry, using API 970, 580 and 581 standards. He will also talk about incorporation in the design stage of industrial installations, good engineering practices, corrosion analysis and inspection, among other interesting topics.
