The II Global LNG International Forum 2022 analyzed the challenges of the gas industry

With great success and a large participation, the II International Forum GNL GLOBAL 2022 (#IIFIGG2022), organized by GNL Global, was held in virtual and free mode.

The event began with a warm welcome from Kenna Bravo , Founder and Director of GNL GLOBAL, who also acted as moderator of the forum, where international and regional experts analyzed the situation of the global and regional gas market.

Presentations:

Analysis of the Global LNG Market and LNG prospects in Latin America and the Caribbean , with presentations by:

Alex Froley , Senior Analyst ICIS LNG Edge team, UK with the topic “How the energy crisis has reshaped global LNG markets: prices and trade flows, a look ahead”.

Adri a n Sookhan , Gas Market Analyst ‘Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF)’, Qatar, with the topic “LNG expansion prospects in Latin America and the Caribbean”.

Regional agenda with:

Diego R. Rivota , Associate Researcher at the Center on Global Energy Policy (CGEP), USA who presented all the “LNG Projects in Mexico”, and

Alexei Oduber , General Director of the company GAC Panama, who talked about “LNG and the Panama Canal”: times, delays and challenges of the Panama Canal.

Panel discussion with representatives of LNG projects in Colombia, Chile and El Salvador:

Alejandro Villalba , Vice President of Promigas operations, Colombia, gave the presentation “LNG and gas projects in Colombia”.

Mario Camacho , CEO GNL Chile, continued with the projects and the characteristics of the demand in Chile.

Ignacio Castro Foulkes , Director of Commercial Transactions Invenergy LLC, Mexico / El Salvador, who spoke about the new floating project in El Salvador.

About the new projects in the Region:

Dr. Muthu Chezhian, CEO LNG Alliance Developer AMIGO LNG Singapore / USA / Mexico, presented the progress and challenges of the “AMIGO LNG Project (Mexico)” project, an LNG Liquefaction Terminal under development on the west coast of Mexico, in Guaymas, Sonora, which will export 7.2 MTPA (2 trains of 3 .6 MTPA each) of LNG to Asian markets. The Project envisions an onshore LNG liquefaction facility, with a compact environmental footprint and best-in-class technology. The feed gas will be sourced from the Permian shale basin in the US and transported to Mexico via existing pipeline networks.

Technology and Innovation:

José R. Iribarren, General Director Siport21, Spain, talked about the “New Developments in LNG Terminals”.

Special Presentation on Russia:

As a special guest, Mehdy Touil, Esp. Operations & Design SME Capstone, Canada explained “The future of the LNG industry in Russia: technical and geopolitical challenges”.

Launch of FactBook 2022:

To close the event, Kenna Bravo presented the attendees with the FACT-Book 2022 , a digital editorial that contains all the LNG infrastructure developed, operational, proposed, and canceled in Latin America and the Caribbean.
