The agreement establishes a collaboration to implement practical eVTOL routes from Greenville Downtown Airport to downtown and Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport . With support from local and state governments, the project seeks to provide sustainable and efficient transportation solutions that benefit both residents and visitors.

Since establishing its US base in 2023, SkyDrive has worked closely with the South Carolina government and airports to introduce its eVTOL technology. Part 135 certified SAI Flight has placed a preliminary order for 10 SkyDrive eVTOL aircraft.

The company also plans to take the lead in operations and maintenance, integrating these aircraft into its business model to offer on-demand air transportation solutions. “ This collaboration reinforces our commitment to sustainable innovation and positions us at the forefront of advanced air mobility ,” said Hunter Cuthbertson III, president of SAI Flight.

Greenville Downtown Airport , South Carolina’s busiest general aviation hub, plays a leading role in this project. With its visionary approach, the airport is developing the infrastructure needed to support short- and medium-range routes, establishing itself as a hub for advanced air mobility in the state.

The state of South Carolina has been a major partner in advancing eVTOL technology, supporting the creation of infrastructure and fostering innovation. According to Harry Lightsey, the state’s Secretary of Commerce, “ SkyDrive is transforming the future of aviation in South Carolina, driving innovation and economic growth .”
