In mid-June, the power delivery of the Zhejiang Longquan 220 kV semi-solid energy storage power plant project was successfully recorded. This achievement positions it as one of the grid-side energy storage projects with the highest connected voltage level in Zhejiang province using semi-solid-state batteries.

The storage power plant in Zhejiang Longquan

This project is located in Changwen land, Anren City, within Longquan, Zhejiang, the project is located near the Jianchuan 500 kV/220 kV substation and covers an area of approximately 40 acres.

The plant has a capacity of 100 MW/200 MWh, with a second phase planned to double this capacity. The main equipment includes prefabricated energy storage cabins and energy storage integrated inverter and booster cabins, integrated buildings, and booster transformers, among others.

This equipment will allow the loading and unloading of energy according to dispatch needs, addressing problems such as new energy consumption, partial grid congestion, frequency and voltage regulation, and the operation of overloaded substations.

The energy storage power plant uses Weilan New Energy’s mass-produced 280 Ah semi-solid batteries, characterized by high safety and long service life. These batteries will contribute to raising the safety level of new energy storage power plants, promoting continuous improvement in this area.
