A solar installation that combines advanced technology and urban sustainability has been completed in Vienna’s 3rd district on Landstraßer Gürtel. The project, led by ARE Real Estate Vienna and implemented by photovoltaic energy provider 10HOCH4 , generates clean energy while improving local quality of life by incorporating an acoustic barrier.
SoliTek Solar technology beautifies and enhances the DOCKS complex
The solar system installed at the DOCKS complex is 320 meters long and is made up of 1,088 SoliTek SOLID bifacial solar modules, designed to maximize solar energy production by efficiently capturing light from both sides of the panels. Through energy efficiency, this is increased by up to 35%, ensuring superior performance throughout the year, even in demanding weather conditions.
SOLID bifacial modules provide more efficient energy generation, and also contribute to the aesthetics of the complex. Furthermore, the frameless design reduces dirt build-up and facilitates maintenance, making them ideal for urban applications such as this project, which seeks to integrate sustainable solutions in the heart of the city.
Furthermore, the facility is built to withstand extreme weather conditions, such as high wind and snow loads, with a robustness that meets the highest international safety standards. The 30-year warranty offered by these modules reflects their reliability and durability, essential characteristics for long-term projects.
