NEOM’s Board of Directors has unveiled Sindalah, a luxury island in the Red Sea , officially inaugurating NEOM’s entry into the tourism sector . This project was initially announced in December 2022 by His Royal Highness Mohammed bin Salman , Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia and Chairman of the NEOM Board of Directors, and marks a major step forward in the Saudi Kingdom’s ambitions to establish itself as a benchmark in luxury tourism, aligned with Saudi Vision 2030.
Situated on the crystal-clear waters of the Red Sea, Sindalah is just five kilometres off the coast of NEOM in north-west Saudi Arabia and 17 hours by sea from major Mediterranean destinations, making it an ideal gateway for European and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) yacht owners.
With an innovative design by architecture firm Luca Dini, Sindalah combines natural beauty with a first-class infrastructure, designed to receive up to 2,400 visitors a day and generate more than 3,500 jobs in the region.
Sindalah: Diving, unique ecosystems and the exclusive Yacht Club
In addition to its tourist appeal, Sindalah stands out for its rich biodiversity. Its waters are home to 1,100 species of fish, of which 45 are unique to this region of NEOM , along with more than 300 types of coral. The conservation of these marine habitats is a priority for NEOM, which has designed diving experiences so that visitors can discover the ecosystem up close, without affecting its natural environment.
Sindalah will also be home to the exclusive Yacht Club, designed by Stefano Ricci, offering yacht owners and crew a space with top-level services. In addition, the state-of-the-art marina features 86 additional superyacht berths and buoys , in an environment with a pleasant climate all year round.
