Located 33 kilometres off the east coast of England in the southern North Sea, EA TWO will have the capacity to generate up to 960 MW of energy. This award represents a milestone for the sustainability of the country, and reinforces the company’s leading position in the energy industry.
Seaway7 CEO Stuart Fitzgerald underlined the significance of this project, highlighting that “the award strengthens our position in the UK and contributes to the national renewable energy target .” He also highlighted the ongoing collaboration with ScottishPower Renewables on the East Anglia Hub , which comprises the East Anglia ONE, TWO and THREE projects.
Offshore operations are scheduled to commence in 2027, with Seaway7 executing these operations from its headquarters in Aberdeen. ScottishPower Renewables chief executive Charlie Jordan said he was excited by the progress, saying: “ Starting the supply chain for EA TWO with strong contracts like this ensures we are ready to deliver another gigawatt of clean energy, benefiting people and the planet .”
