We are proud to announce the arrival of MV Lidan, our first Lake Vanern Max Series plug-in hybrid vessel. This addition marks a significant advancement in maritime technology, highlighting our commitment to innovation and long-term sustainability.
The MV Lidan, which has already been delivered and is sailing from Eemshaven to Wilhelmshaven, combines an innovative hybrid propulsion that uses both electric power and traditional fuel . This configuration enables a considerable reduction in carbon emissions and improves energy efficiency while sailing. In addition, its ability to run on batteries while docked helps reduce both noise and air pollution in ports.
Plug-in hybrid vessel improves maneuvers and reduces impact
The MV Lidan is equipped with a hybrid propulsion system that enables more efficient and environmentally friendly navigation. A large-diameter propeller mounted in a nozzle optimizes thrust at low speeds, reducing power demand and fuel consumption by up to 18%. This innovative design also reduces emissions and facilitates complex maritime maneuvers, such as icebreaking.
