Ports of Mexico exported 50.7 million tons of oil in January-October 2022

Exports of oil and derivatives in Mexico fell by 2.3% from January to October, standing at 50,726,042 tons, according to data from the Department of Ports of the Ministry of the Navy (Semar), reported Info- Transportation.

The seasonally adjusted figures show that, until the tenth month of 2022, 51,903,812 tons (t) transited through the ports, compared to the same period when they contracted up to 1,177,770 t.

The foregoing, derived from a drop in the price of oil in recent months due to supply problems derived from the closure of a key supply pipeline in the US. and Russian threats to cut production, which affected exports from Mexico, according to analysts.

In addition, operations in the Gulf of Mexico were also affected, falling 3.8% and standing at 45,728,188 t, compared to 47,518,700 t in the January-October period of last year, that is, 1,790. 188 t less.
