The Pegasus E hybrid flying car

This vehicle integrates a hybrid system that allows it to fly for 3 hours, reaching speeds of up to 160 km/h in flight. In addition, it has the capacity to refuel at standard service stations, using conventional high-octane fuel, improving its accessibility, without the need for specialized infrastructure or landing strips.

The Pegasus E has been airworthy in Australia by the Australian Civil Aviation Safety Authority ( CASA ), and the process to obtain FAA certification in the United States is underway. With 10 units contracted and more than $39 million in indicative orders, the Australian startup has proven that its hybrid flying vehicle is a viable, real option, and not just a futuristic concept.

Great potential in transport for industries requiring fast and efficient solutions. From police patrols and emergency services to logistics and medical rescue, the Pegasus E offers great flexibility. Through its vertical takeoff capability, the vehicle can operate in highly populated urban locations without problems.

Good Design Award and the future of transport

This flying vehicle has been awarded the Good Design Award 2024 , in the category of automotive and transportation products. This recognition establishes Pegasus Aerospace among the most outstanding companies worldwide, in relation to design, engineering and social impact.

In addition, Pegasus Aerospace plans to integrate autonomous technology into its future generations of vehicles, which will accelerate the adoption of air taxis and urban air mobility. With its sights set on 57 cities in the United States, the company plans to create a network of short-haul airports to establish air taxis and transform urban transportation.
