Empresa de Transmisión Eléctrica, SA (Etesa) in coordination with the National Secretariat of Energy (SNE) will soon call for short and long-term tenders, to ensure energy supply contracts at competitive market prices.
Carlos Mosquera, general manager of ETESA, indicated that the first call would involve the supply of electricity in the short term between 2023 and 2025, for which power stations operating in the market would be called.
On the other hand, the long-term tender will be aimed at supply contracts between 2026 and 2040 in which new plants could participate in addition to existing ones.
