SG Aquamarine is designed to reduce polluting emissions and improve energy efficiency. Equipped with energy-saving pipelines and a modular gas supply system ( FGSS ), the vessel meets the most demanding energy efficiency standards. This development underlines NYK’s commitment to sustainability and decarbonisation in the shipping industry.

Furthermore, the vessel is fitted with a MAN B&W 6G70ME-C10.5 main engine, manufactured by MAN Energy Solutions , which optimises both performance and fuel economy. In addition, it has been classified by ClassNK, ensuring that it meets the highest safety and performance standards.

This event is a showcase of NYK’s efforts to advance the transition to green shipping. This vessel is the second ” dual-fuel Capesize ” in NYK’s fleet, following the SG Ocean , which was delivered in early 2024.
