NOVACAVI successfully conducts underwater surveillance test with fiber optic cable

Underwater monitoring technology continues to advance, and a recent test in deep mine shafts has demonstrated the effectiveness of aquatic surveillance systems.

Image Soft , in collaboration with NOVACAVI , has carried out an evaluation of its underwater surveillance system ( UNWAS ) using a specialized fiber optic cable, achieving success in this logistical operation.

A technology for underwater security and surveillance

The cable used in the test is part of NOVACAVI ’s Aquancable line, designed to operate in extreme conditions. Through its water-locked hybrid configuration, this technology allowed it to act as a strategic component in the detection of potential threats against sensitive infrastructure, such as pipelines, ports and submarine cables.

During testing, Image Soft divers deployed the system in a flooded mine shaft with irregular rock formations. And thanks to the strength and quality of NOVACAVI’s cable, they were able to deploy the sensor at great depths without compromising the integrity of data transmission.

Advances in underwater technology continue to strengthen infrastructure security. The collaboration between Image Soft and NOVACAVI demonstrates the impact of specialized solutions in protecting critical underwater facilities.
