NexGen Energy has signed its first uranium sales contracts with major nuclear service companies in the United States. Each of the agreements represents a total value of £5 million and reflects NexGen’s strategy as a reliable source of nuclear fuel from the province of Saskatchewan, Canada, recognized for its high environmental, technical and social standards.

These agreements include an annual delivery of 1 million pounds of U3O8 uranium, priced based on the “ spot market” at the time of delivery, allowing NexGen to maximize the value of each pound of uranium produced. These agreements underscore the quality of the company’s Rook I project , one of the largest uranium projects, with 231.66 million pounds of probable uranium reserves, according to the NI 43-101 report.

NexGen Energy CEO Leigh Curyer said the contracts could strengthen the company’s position in the global nuclear fuel market. “ These agreements underscore the scalability and technical excellence of Rook I and reflect our ability to provide a reliable source of uranium at a time of increasing demand for nuclear energy ,” Curyer said.

Demand for uranium has increased due to the growing need for reliable energy, especially in the context of the expansion of nuclear power infrastructure and energy consumption by sectors such as data center construction. Security of uranium supply has become a key issue as the market faces technical and geopolitical risks related to uranium production in different regions of the world.

NexGen is positioned to become one of the world’s leading uranium suppliers, and its Rook I project is shaping up to be one of the largest in terms of environmentally sustainable uranium production .
