Mexico builds 3 LNG plants to export to Asia and Europe

AMLO stressed that during his administration he went from flaring gas to building plants to export liquefied natural gas (LNG) to Asia and Europe.

“We have surpluses. There are new liquefaction plants being installed which means freezing the gas to sell it, export it and regasify it. The case is to sell it,” he said.

In order to increase natural gas exports, the president pointed out that his government seeks to increase hydrocarbon production, as part of the strategy to increase oil production in Pemex’s priority fields.
