LS Cable & System and LS Marine Solutions have partnered with Balmoral Comtec, a leading company in floating marine infrastructure solutions, to collaborate on the development of the ambitious Bandibuli project in South Korea.

A breakthrough in renewable energy for the Bandibuli project

The strategic partnership between these three industry powerhouses seeks to optimise floating wind energy infrastructure. LS Cable & System, known for its leadership in manufacturing high-tech submarine cables for offshore wind energy , will join Balmoral Comtec, which brings its expertise in cable protection and floating infrastructure .

Together, they are focused on ensuring that the Bandibuli project reaches a new level of efficiency, with a total capacity of 750 MW . The floating offshore wind energy market has demonstrated accelerated growth in recent years, and is expected to continue its expansion in the coming years, particularly in South Korea.

This agreement between South Korean and British companies puts the three companies in a favourable position to be key players in this emerging market, contributing with innovative solutions that optimise the installation and operation of floating systems.

Innovation and advanced technology

The Bandibuli project represents one of the largest initiatives in the floating wind energy sector, which will allow turbines to be installed further from shore than traditional systems, taking advantage of greater wind resources in deeper waters.
