Komatsu Unveils Cutting-Edge Demolition Excavators for North America

Komatsu Company has announced the introduction of a series of demolition excavators to the North American market. These new machines include the PC490HRD-11, PC290LC-11, PC360LC-11 and PC490LC-11, have proven themselves in Europe for more than two decades, and are now available to improve efficiency on demolition projects in North America.

The PC490HRD-11 demolition excavator integrates a K100 boom change system. This program optimizes boom change time as the project progresses, allowing the machine to reach a maximum height of 104 feet. In addition, it comes equipped with a complete demolition protection package, a cab with enhanced visibility and up to 45-degree tilt, as well as a state-of-the-art man/machine interface panel.

The PC290LC-11, PC360LC-11 and PC490LC-11 straight boom excavators, on the other hand, offer an increase in reach, exceeding that of standard excavators by 22% to 26%. This increase in capacity is complemented by easy customization, allowing users to program up to 15 different tools to suit different demolition needs. These machines have been designed to tackle the toughest jobs, incorporating robust protection features such as a heavy-duty rotating frame, undercarriages and undercarriages.

In addition, Komatsu offers a variety of additional products additional products that can further enhance the versatility of these excavators. Lehnhoff quick couplers and Montabert demolition attachments are perfect complements to maximize the performance of these new machines.
