Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador presided over the inauguration of the first phase of the “Olmeca” fuel refinery in the port of Dos Bocas, in the state of Tabasco, on Friday, July 1.

It will begin operations for a six-month trial period, to be completed by January 1, 2023.
It is worth noting that the cost of the refinery was originally projected at US$8 billion, however, it is now projected at US$12 billion, according to the president.
