The International Association of Ports and Harbors (IAPH) has released six new checklists created and developed by the IAPH Clean Bunkers Task Force, experts dealing with operations ship-to-ship and truck-to-ship bunkering of liquefied gases such as bunkers in ports.
One of the main objectives of the working group has been to create harmonized bunker checklists. These checklists reflect additional port requirements for alternative fueling operations in or near their port environment.
The use of the supply checklists allows to obtain a high level of quality and responsibility of the supply operators.
The application of harmonized checklists for bunkering in ports will also be highly beneficial for ships (and their crews) bunkering in other ports, as it will reduce potential confusion caused by having to comply with different rules and regulations. in different ports.
