Agility Robotics, a pioneer in the development of bipedal robots, and Ricoh USA, a leader in business services, have joined forces to offer specialized support for the expansion of the humanoid robot market in North America. This collaboration will enable companies to optimize the use of robots such as the humanoid Digit, designed for logistics tasks.

Agility and Ricoh strengthen the automation of the humanoid Digit

This agreement marks a milestone in the warehouse automationa sector that is experiencing exponential growth. Jim Kirby, vice president of Ricoh, explained that ensuring the proper functioning of robots is critical to day-to-day operations. With the Service Advantage program, Ricoh will offer its network of expert technicians to ensure that the robots operate smoothly and adapt to customer demands.

Agility Robotics seeks to improve the lifecycle of its robots, while robots through its Agility Arcplatform, which simplifies the implementation and management of Digit fleets. This robot, designed to collaborate in human spaces, can take on repetitive tasks, increasing efficiency in the supply chain.

Humanoid robots transform global logistics

The partnership reinforces the presence of robots in logistics operations, with GXO Logistics being one of the first companies to deploy these humanoid robots. This initial commercial deployment underscores the growing interest in robots as a service (RaaS), a model that promises to transform global logistics.

Finally, Ricoh will continue to provide world-class technical support to Agility Robotics, ensuring that its technology remains an effective and secure solution for industries looking to improve their operational efficiency.
