HMM has successfully completed the commissioning of its new 13,000 TEU containership, the HMM Turquoise , a state-of-the-art vessel designed for energy efficiency and capable of being converted to LNG propulsion in the future. This vessel is part of the fleet’s 12-unit series that marks a significant step forward in terms of sustainability and performance.
The Turquoise will join the PSX (Pacific South Express) route, connecting the key ports of Korea, Shanghai, Los Angeles and Oakland. This service will strengthen connectivity between these important logistics hubs and ensure the efficient and safe transport of containers, both dry and refrigerated.
HMM Turquoise helps reduce carbon footprint
The addition of this container ship also highlights the continuous improvement in fuel efficiency, one of the key aspects to reduce operating costs and carbon emissions. In addition, HMM’s fleet, which includes several cargo vessels, is characterized by being equipped with the most advanced technology for container transport, guaranteeing safety and optimization of transit times.
With the presence of Turquoise in the fleet, HMM seeks to meet the growing demand for international maritime transport and contribute significantly to the global effort to reduce the carbon footprint of the logistics sector. HMM’s maritime fleet is prepared to face the challenges of the future and offer innovative logistics solutions that align with the best sustainability practices.
