Hanwha Ocean has marked a significant milestone on Project Jansz-Io, commissioned by Chevron Australia , by successfully completing the loading of the Field Control Station (FCS). This progress underlines the capability and dedication of the company’s offshore division.
Significant progress in the Jansz-Io project
The FCS plays a key role in the energy infrastructure, receiving high voltage power from the Gorgon natural gas facility on Barrow Island and converting it to low voltage power for the subsea production module. It is also responsible for monitoring the production system installed at the Jansz-Io field. Hanwha Ocean’s responsibility for this project covers the Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Transportation (EPCT) phases, always complying with the most stringent quality standards and management processes.
This success would not have been possible without the efforts of the Hanwha Ocean offshore team, led by Chairman Philippe Levy. The support of Chevron Australia, represented by Prime Minister Ralf Honermeier, has been instrumental in advancing the completion of the system within the Jansz-Io project . Collaboration continues with a view to securing the remaining manufacturing and systems before the FCS sets sail for its final destination.
