Halliburton Company introduced the new Hedron™ platform of compact, fixed-cutting polycrystalline diamond (PDC) drill bits. These drills combine the latest technology with an industry-leading customization process to deliver high-performance application-specific designs for customers.
The culmination of multiple technologies, Hedron drills are the toughest and smartest on the market. Halliburton designed them using its Design at the Customer Interface (DatCISM) process, along with proprietary iBitS™ simulation and modeling software that allows design teams to tailor each bit to the customer’s unique challenges.
Hedron bits are the first PDC bits to incorporate Juggernaut™ cutters, Cerebro® bit sensing knowledge and Oculus™ advanced wear classification analysis. These technological advances increase drilling performance through higher penetration rates and extended run lengths in applications worldwide.
