Gestacur completes the dismantling of the Tahivilla Wind Cluster for Acciona Energía

Gestacur completes the dismantling of 98 wind turbines in Cádiz, marking a milestone in wind farm waste management in the Spanish energy system.

Gestacur, a pioneer in the renewable energy construction sector, has successfully completed the decommissioning of five wind farms located near Tahivilla, in the province of Cádiz. This project, in collaboration with Acciona Energía , marks a milestone in the Spanish energy sector, as it is the first to manage all the waste generated by wind turbines in the national energy system.

Dismantling of the Tahivilla Wind Cluster

The dismantling included the Río Almodóvar, El Gallego, La Manga, Cortijo Iruelas, and El Ruedo wind farms , with a total of 98 wind turbines dismantled . Gestacur teams were responsible for the comprehensive management of all the waste generated , from scrapping to the transport and recovery of electromechanical components, as well as the transfer of the blades to the facilities of authorized managers.

In addition to its commitment to the environment and the optimization of construction processes, Gestacur is strengthening its presence in the field of renewable energy , focusing on a more sustainable model that includes the management of waste from wind farms. This move reflects its ability to diversify its services within a constantly evolving sector.

With the shutdown of the last generator, the project is complete, marking the end of a key phase in the modernization of the region’s energy infrastructure.
