Inspenet, a network of knowledge and professional connection, was at the Naturgas 2022 Congress, which took place from October 5 to 7 at the Cartagena de Indias Convention Center, Colombia, organized by the Colombian Natural Gas Association.

During the event, Katherine Orozco, Ecopetrol company’s hydrogen leader, spoke exclusively with Inspenet TV about the energy transition in the region.

“The country (Colombia) has a roadmap with some challenging goals and that has promoted all the development that is seen in companies like Ecopetrol, Promigas, like others in the sector, it is an expectation, a feeling of happiness and a lot of support for this new energy, opening the way to the energy transition”, explained Orozco.

In addition, he indicated that Ecopetrol has a strategic plan, with the goal of producing 1 million tons of low-carbon hydrogen by 2040.
