The transition to sustainable transport has received a new boost with Excelledia Ventures’ investment in Hydrogen Vehicle Systems (HVS), a British company pioneering the manufacture of hydrogen trucks . This agreement reinforces the expansion of fuel cell technology and the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in transport optimization.
Strategic support for hydrogen trucks
The investment from Excelledia Ventures, a Qatari group specialising in AI solutions for large corporations and governments, will enable HVS to accelerate the production of low-emission vehicles. The British company has stood out for developing innovative technology that improves the efficiency of diesel, electric and hydrogen trucks, aligning itself with global decarbonisation trends.
We specialize in AI software that optimizes business performance. We immediately saw the potential in HVS’ AI innovations – it’s essentially the same transformative technology we use applied to the transportation industry.
Excelledia Ventures CEO Muhamed Farooque said, highlighting the synergy between the two companies.
Hydrogen and technology: a key combination
HVS has developed an ecosystem that combines hydrogen and AI to achieve more efficient and cleaner mobility. Its focus is on route optimization, reducing energy consumption and improving truck safety through advanced software.
Excelledia Ventures’ investment also strengthens HVS’ eligibility for the Qatar-UK Climate Technology Fund, a £1 billion programme targeting clean energy projects . In addition, this partnership opens the door to strategic markets in the Middle East, a region seeking to establish itself as a leader in the adoption of hydrogen as an energy source for transport.
Expansion and future plans
With the financial and strategic backing of Excelledia Ventures, H V S has a NASDAQ listing on its roadmap by 2027. The company seeks to attract international investors through its intellectual property and market analysis, backed by firms such as Inngot and Apricum.
HVS CEO Abdul Waheed stressed the importance of this collaboration saying that their mission is to optimize current transportation with cleaner solutions and advance the development of hydrogen trucks for the future.
This agreement represents a significant step in the evolution of sustainable transport , consolidating the combination of AI and hydrogen as an efficient model for the logistics industry.
