The renowned company Eli Electric has announced the Eli ZERO and begins opening reservations in the United States . The company is recognized for its dedication to sustainable mobility, with a successful increase in sales thanks to its two-seater model in the European and Asian markets.
The Eli ZERO electric microcar
The electric vehicle manufacturer has opened the availability of reservations in the North American country, with a refundable deposit of $200 to purchase the vehicle for $11,900. Additionally, it anticipates deliveries of the Eli ZERO to begin in the third quarter of 2024 .
Regarding specifications, the model destined for the United States has been improved to comply with the regulations of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration for low-speed vehicles. This certification allows the Eli ZERO to be operated on federal streets, where the speed limit does not exceed 35 miles per hour .
The executive director of Eli Electric , Marcus Li expressed: “Our focus is on transforming urban mobility, making it easier for users to reconnect with their communities through the use of compact and agile vehicles that optimize space and reduce urban congestion, improving the quality of life in cities .”
The capacity of the Eli Zero
This microcar comes equipped with an 8 kWh LiFePO4 battery , with a capacity that allows a range of up to 60 miles, according to European standards. However, the American version promises even more, with a range extended to 90 miles, coming from a larger capacity battery .

Additionally, it can be fully charged in less than three hours using a 240 VAC outlet, or in five hours using 120 VAC. Although its top speed is limited to 25 mph to comply with regulations, the vehicle offers comfort and safety features such as: Heating, air conditioning, and an advanced entertainment system.
