Edward Maritime refurbishes and renames its Raptor 2 vessel as LYDIA E

The work and collaboration with Wyman & Simpson has allowed a better understanding of the requirements of the maritime industry, in the renovation of the vessel.

Edward Maritime has completed the refurbishment of Raptor 2, which is now named LYDIA E. The workboat has been upgraded with a new fuel system and modifications to optimize performance. It is currently at Wyman & Simpson’s facility in Richmond, Maine.

The upgrade includes an optimized fuel system , which now features recessed tanks and dedicated compartments with a watertight hatch. In addition, this allows for a fuel capacity of up to 100 gallons. Furthermore, improvements have been made to its structure and equipment to ensure better performance in demanding conditions.

The vessel is 22 feet long, has a beam of 10 feet, a depth of 33 inches, and a draft of 19 inches. She is equipped with twin 250hp Yamaha engines, giving her plenty of power for her operations. She also features two 5-ton deck winches with 75 feet of 5/8″ stainless steel cable, 3-foot knee thrusters, and 4-inch D-ring fenders. Technological features include a VHF radio, megaphone, and PA system, as well as a Honda 2200i generator.

Other features include a Kobelt mechanical shifting overhead helm station, running lights and four 6-inch LED deck lights. The functional design includes a tilt-up pilothouse and sliding windows, with the forward window hinged to open outward. The boat also features a dual white and red marine light, a three-way bilge pump switch and two 1,100-gallon bilge pumps, plus a four-way receptacle and 12V horn.
