This wind project, which will reach 760 MW of capacity, features 52 Vestas V236 turbine assemblies, including wind generators, nacelles, blades and support structures, totalling more than 455 individual parts.
Buss Ports leads logistics for Hollandse Kust West park
The Buss port terminal offers more than 200,000 square meters of storage and handling space, an essential aspect for offshore wind projects that require robust and flexible infrastructure. With this selection, Ecowende ensures efficient and safe handling of the most complex wind components, with the logistical expertise that characterizes Buss.
According to Marc Wegman, Managing Director of Buss Terminal Eemshaven, “ Advanced infrastructure, specialized equipment and key partners such as Ecowende ensure that we continue to drive the growth of offshore wind energy. ” The collaboration between the two companies extends across several wind projects, cementing Buss Ports as a leader in offshore wind farm logistics.
Folkert Visser, Project Manager at Ecowende, emphasised Buss Ports’ flexibility and ability to adapt to the changing needs of wind components. The strategic location of Buss’ terminal in Eemshaven, coupled with its ongoing investment in infrastructure, makes the port the ideal choice for the logistics handling of the Hollandse Kust West wind farm.
