The DUPLICAR project, carried out by the Unión Transitoria de Empresas (UTE) Techint-SACDE for Oleoductos del Valle (Oldelval), continues to make steady progress in its construction. “All phases are currently underway. We are finalizing the topography and the opening of the runway. We will then proceed with the pre-commissioning and commissioning stages.said Juan Manuel Zanuttini, Project Control Manager.
Progress on the DUPLICAR Valley Pipeline Project
Currently, the Civil Engineering team is working on the surface installation and the electrical team is working on grounding and trunking. A prefabrication workshop has been set up with 20 people working on piping tasks, and four valves are being built in parallel. In addition, work is about to begin on the pre-assembly of roofs and structures.
The objective of the DUPLICAR project is to increase the capacity to transport crude oil from Vaca Muerta, through the construction of an oil pipeline to construction of a pipeline that will connect the Allen pumping station in Río Negro with the terminal station in Puerto Rosales, Buenos Aires. This pipeline, in its Module 2, under the responsibility of UTE, will cover 254 km, divided into 199 km of 24-inch pipeline and 55 km of 30-inch pipeline.
The infrastructure will cross the provinces of Río Negro, La Pampa and Buenos Aires, overcoming roads, railroads, bodies of water and other interferences, including an 850-meter crossing over the Colorado River.
