This plant is located in the heart of Extremadura, and takes advantage of the surplus of solar energy to begin the phases in the production of green hydrogen through electrolysis , a procedure that manages to separate water into oxygen and hydrogen using electricity from renewable sources.

The hydrogen produced is stored and used in the DEUTZ TCG 7.8 H2 hydrogen engine , an important sustainable energy solution that contributes to the reduction of polluting gases and the promotion of the energy transition in the country.

This inauguration is part of the company’s global strategy, called “Taking Responsibility” , whose main objective is to move towards a cleaner and more environmentally friendly energy future.

The opening event was attended by DEUTZ CEO Dr. Sebastian C. Schulte, who highlighted the importance of this project for the future of the energy industry. He was joined by Councillor María Mercedes Vaquera, who expressed her support for the promotion of initiatives that promote sustainable development in the region.
