Damen Shipyards has started a new shipbuilding project, with three multipurpose vessels intended to meet the growing demand in dredging and offshore operations in the United Arab Emirates. These vessels, designed to operate in shallow waters, will be built at Albwardy Damen.
The models selected for this initial program include the Multi Cat 2712, which will be delivered in November 2025, the Multi Cat 3313 SD scheduled for December 2025, and the Shoalbuster 2711, scheduled for launch in February 2026. These vessels are ideally suited to operate in the maritime environment of the Persian Gulf, known for its flat water conditions.
Damen offshore and towing vessel construction
The Shoalbuster 2711with a length of 27 meters and a draft of only 3 meters, stands out for its ability to perform towing and anchor handling operations. It also has 41 tons of fixed point draft and is equipped with a deck crane and cascade winch. For its part, the Multi Cat 3313 SDwith a draft of only 2.2 meters and 200 m² of deck space, is the perfect solution for offshore operations. offshore operationsespecially for transporting equipment and containers.
