Drydocks World announces the laying of the keel of the largest floating crane in the MENA region. This inaugural event was held with the support and collaboration of ZPMC , in Qidong City, China.
The progress of the largest floating crane
With a 160-meter-long A-frame and an impressive lifting capacity of 5,000 tons, this floating crane is designed to redefine the standards of heavy lifting offshore. Furthermore, its ability to lift loads up to 120 meters above the water will be an important aspect for handling larger and more complex structures on offshore projects.
The crane is scheduled for delivery in 2026, and upon arrival at Drydocks World, it will boost the company’s ability to complete megaprojects in the shipbuilding, conversion, and offshore energy industries.
