This device has been developed for hydrogen filling stations that supply heavy vehicles , evaluating its improved safety and quality, minimization of maintenance cycles and efficiency in energy consumption. These characteristics are important to reduce the operating costs associated with this type of fuel installations.

Furthermore, Sandeep Gadkary, who heads the Compressor Division and Global Services Division at SIAD MI, has emphasized the reliability of these technical solutions. ” We guarantee our clients robust solutions that minimize downtime, thus ensuring constant and smooth operation ,” said Gadkary.

Last year, Europe enacted regulations that facilitate the installation of hundreds of hydrogen refueling stations across the continent, allowing the circulation of heavy hydrogen-powered vehicles and thus achieving cleaner transportation.

The optimal supply of hydrogen stations

The Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Regulation (AFIR), in force since last year, establishes the need to have hydrogen stations that serve both light and heavy vehicles in all major urban centers and every 200 km in the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T) for the year 2030.

The CEO of SIAD Macchine Impianti, Paolo Ferrario, noted the company’s vision towards sustainability: ” We are fully dedicated to playing a crucial role in the transition towards more sustainable transport .”

It is also important to mention, that SIAD MI has been a crucial supplier in green hydrogen projects, including supplying compressor technology to Nel, the Norwegian electrolyser manufacturer. In 2023, Nel integrated three SIAD MI compressors with a 20 MW electrolyzer plant to provide green hydrogen to the Ovako steel plant in Sweden.
