The China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) has discovered a large oil field with reserves of up to 100 million tons in the Bohai Gulf. The company reported that the oil well is capable of producing around 2,040 barrels of crude oil and 320,000 cubic meters of gas daily.
“On March 1, China National Offshore Oil Corporation announced the discovery in the Bohai Gulf of the Bozhong 26-6 oil field, whose oil reserves amount to 100 million tons,” the company posted on its website.
China Central Television reported, in turn, that the oil field is located in the southern part of the Bohai Gulf, in the Yellow Sea, about 170 kilometers from the city of Tianjin.
In September 2021, Cnooc discovered the Kenli 10-2 oil field, whose reserves exceed 100 million tons of oil.
