The Chilean company DTIC Sistemas SPA developed the SafeRase Kit, an innovative system capable of controlling the safe load movements of overhead cranes (with one or two girders, portals, semi-portals and suspended cranes), as well as industrial monorails, which increases safety in the chores
The failures in the overhead cranes cause delays in the programmed plans, since they are critical assets for the mining processes and in the routine maintenance works of major components of the mills and pumps.
SafeRase Kit is a system commanded by a nanocomputer capable of controlling the safe load movements of overhead cranes, which also has sound and light alerts that are activated at the slightest detection of errors in the inclination of load movements.
The system is programmable and parameterized through a web console, detecting inclinations that exceed the programmed angles in load movements, paralyzing the machinery, avoiding risk to people, accidents, or machinery failure.
SafeRase Kit, from the company DTIC Sistemas SPA, has been successfully implemented since 2019 at Minera Los Pelambres, avoiding accidents and arrests at the site.
