Brent crude traded below $82 for the first time since January

The price of Brent crude traded below $82 a barrel on Monday for the first time since January 11, according to data from the London ICE stock exchange. The January futures price for this brand of crude fell 2.79% to $81.3 per barrel.

At the same time, US WTI crude traded at $74 a barrel for the first time since Dec. 27, 2021, according to trade data cited by Reuters.
