Rogério Manso, president of the local association of gas transporters, during the Blue Ocean Gas & Energy Week event explained that the 2022-2026 budgets of Brazilian gas transporters include initiatives related to process automation and new metering stations and delivery points.

Projects planned or under development include the capacity expansion of the southern section of the Gasbol pipeline of Transportadora Gasoduto Bolívia Brasil (TBG).

Mention has also been made of the connection of New Fortress Energy’s LNG regasification terminal to its grid.

In the northeast, Transportadora Associada de Gás (TAG) will connect Celse’s LNG regasification terminal to its pipeline network. It even plans to improve the capacity of the northern section of the southeast-northeast integration pipeline (Gasene).

Meanwhile, in the state of Rio de Janeiro, Nova Transportadora do Sudeste (NTS) will build the Itaboraí-Guapimirim (Gasig) gas pipeline. This project will transport the hydrocarbon from the new processing unit of state-owned Petrobras at the Gaslub hub.
