The Mario Gulich Institute for Advanced Space Studies announces the opening of registrations for the Master’s Degree in Spatial Information Applications (MAIE), corresponding to the 2024-2026 school year. Applicants from Argentina and other Latin American countries may submit their applications until June 30, 2023, with the possibility of accessing scholarships financed by the National Commission for Space Activities (CONAE) .

The Gulich Institute is an educational entity belonging to the national space agency and the National University of Córdoba (UNC), and with the participation of the Italian Space Agency (ASI), which seeks to train human resources of excellence in the space field.

The MAIE is carried out in conjunction with the Faculty of Mathematics, Astronomy, Physics and Computing (FAMAF) of UNC. The career is accredited with category A by the National Commission for University Evaluation and Accreditation (CONEAU) and is aimed at specializing professionals for an interdisciplinary approach to problems related to the spatial information cycles of the National Spatial Plan.

Since 2009, it has 76 graduates, who work in different research centers and national and foreign prestigious organizations.

The degree is intended for professionals from various disciplines, from engineering, health, biology, computing and economics, among others. Applicants must be graduates of a degree course lasting at least four years with official recognition.

The Master in Applications of Spatial Information (MAIE) offers scholarship options

The MAIE has a duration of two years and requires exclusive dedication. For this reason, scholarship and half-scholarship options are offered as support to cover expenses.

MAIE students will be able to carry out research internships in Italy

The Master’s degree will be taught at the Gulich Institute, located within CONAE’s Teófilo Tabanera Space Center (CETT), in Falda del Cañete, Córdoba province. During the last semester, students from Argentina will be able to spend six months in Italy to carry out research internships at institutions or universities in that country.
