Among the best-paid professions in Argentina, there is one that is defined as a priority for the country: that of a graduate in Marine Propulsion Plants.

This career not only stands out because it is at the top of the list and the starting salary exceeds $430,000, but also because it is studied at only one university and its number of graduates, between 2016 and 2018, did not exceed twenty.

This degree is taught only at the National Defense University, in the Retiro neighborhood of Buenos Aires. The degree lasts for four years. The first three are studied in the classroom. The last one, on the other hand, is done on board a boat to carry out professional practices. At the end, a qualifying exam is carried out.

According to the specialized site Glassdoor, the average salary of a naval machinist in Argentina is $617,181. And you can get work in shipping companies in the country or abroad. By having such a low number of students, job opportunities are immediate.

After obtaining the titles of graduate in marine propulsion plants and naval machinist, the graduate can get a job in Argentina or in any other country in the world, since the title is recognized by the International Maritime Organization.
