Artemis Gold Inc., a renowned gold project developer, has reached a significant milestone at its Blackwater Mine in central British Columbia. The company has begun processing first ore through the crushing circuit, marking a crucial step forward in the final stages of construction and commissioning.

Artemis transforms Blackwater mine with sustainability

With the 225 kV renewable grid power line operational, Artemis is preparing to transition from diesel generators to sustainable energy before the end of the year. In addition, open-pit mining operations have successfully commenced, supported by specialist drilling, blasting and explosives contractors.

The company estimates that the ball mill will receive the first ore in the coming weeks , maintaining its commitment to make the first gold pour before the end of 2024. This emblematic project is fully funded and represents one of the largest investments in mining infrastructure in the region in the last decade.

The tailings storage facility is also ready for operation, underscoring Artemis’ ability to meet its production goals efficiently and sustainably.
