South Africa’s AngloGold Ashanti is evaluating using electric trucks at its Brazilian operations and renewable energy in Argentina as part of a plan to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions.

The company announced a prefeasibility study for the Brazilian Cuiabá mine that will study the benefits of replacing part of the fleet with battery electric vehicles.
