Worley realizará FEED del campo de gas Afrodita

Worley has been selected by Chevron Cyprus Limited, a subsidiary of Chevron Corporation, to provide Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) services and material procurement for the development of the Aphrodite gas field, located off the coast of Cyprus in the Eastern Mediterranean.

The contract includes the development of FEED engineering for the entire project, including part of the subsea systems, the floating production unit, the export pipeline, and the onshore reception facilities.

Additionally, Worley will provide procurement services for the purchase of equipment related to the floating production unit and the onshore infrastructure required for the project.

Technical Scope of the Aphrodite Gas Field Development

The awarded work is based on the pre-FEED activities the company had previously carried out for the same development. This new phase will allow for a more precise definition of the technical configuration of the infrastructure needed to produce and transport natural gas from the reservoir.

Key project elements include subsea systems, floating production infrastructure, and the pipeline intended to export gas to onshore reception facilities.

To execute the contract, Worley will utilize its global integrated delivery model, coordinating technical teams located in five countries.

Strategic Project for Energy Supply

The development of the Aphrodite gas field is part of energy initiatives aimed at harnessing the gas resources of the Eastern Mediterranean. This offshore field represents one of the main opportunities to strengthen regional energy supply in the coming years.

Chris Ashton, Worley’s CEO, stated that the company will continue to collaborate with Chevron on this project, leveraging its international experience in gas development.

We are pleased to continue our long-standing relationship with Chevron, leveraging our global gas development expertise and integrated global delivery model to support the progress of this strategically important energy project.

Ashton affirmed.
